20+ train tracks??? 20+??? sooo.... do we talk about the total amount from secrets 1, 2 ,3 (I'm at the postcard section and i still think there is 1 more secret except i cant find it)
Excellent. It's not just the puzzles, the ambience is so good, the story has the exact balance of mysterious, conforting, and ominous, perfectly setting the mood for the unveiling of old secrets. The whole game feels like tasting warm tea with unknown herbs in it.
The sound effects are the best I've heard since The Witness, and every little thing has its own special sound when you click or hover on it. So much attention to detail, I can't believe this is free.
The music is the best I've heard in any puzzle game, period. It goes hand-in-hand with the story's vibes, too. When puzzles get hard, music feels grating to me so I end up turning it off, but not this one. I dare say that it is even better for puzzle-solving than pure silence or nature sounds. I wish Baba is You had this very music on its harder puzzles.
And the content... This dev's games often feature hidden content, but this one takes the cake. "20+ tiny train tracks", it says. LOL. LMAO even.
Also, the game's save folder (in AppData\Local) is called "PlantsPlantsPlants", which somehow doesn't even surprise me at this point.
short dominoes don't limit flexibility of drawing pipe so that's alcazar, then with intersections(I'll call it T. don't bother rotating it until the end. just make sure there's not more than one side to wall or other invalid ~ since there's no 1-length rail to immediately put on nodes, so being adjacent to node would also disqualify a side. 3 of 4 sides open isn't that high a req on most maps) there's some even/odd counting of whether T should be placed on imaginary black or white grid, like in a three node situation, if u only have one adjuster, gotta use it for letting the odd one out adapt to T. then after u unlock wrench there's masyu making an appearance. classic puzzles galore. there are unique challenges but I'm not sure if they're intended... for example, starting night shift, try putting the short piece in last and see how it can't connect. also, are tutorial-ish bits for introducing new mechanics replayable? as in, each time u need to solve a few puzzles to unlock a box or smth -- I'm talking about those
If you happen to l+r click when placing an L piece it has... interesting... results lol. Note that if you complete a track with one of these pieces in your path, it will crash your game. Just refresh and you'll be good to continue
Oh snap - you even have error checking in there to make sure that all track pieces that can be used are actualaly used properly. I thought I had one over on you here 😂
A piece of usable track sitting outside of the connected tracks
Grandpa made the dumbest wish ever! Pretty nice game though. I've noticed that when the 2x2 L pieces have both ends possibly connecting to the same connection point, the placement cycle begins with those single-connection options, even when there is a double connection available, which led to a lot of misplacement for me.
So many secret parts! I expected this one to just be a quick and fun puzzle game... What I got were some very challenging puzzles and a false sense of light at the end of the tunnel 🤣
Even the bonus content keeps a train theme with it branching in different directions 😂
I sat down to play what I thought was a ~30 minute game. Two days later and I have to cut myself to do some work. What an amazing game with a great atmosphere! Reminded me some of Inscryption, weirdly. Thanks for making!
There are only a few sensible options for where the 3-long piece can go. When you find the right one, at least a couple other pieces might fall into place when you think about the possibilities for a nearby endpoint. There are four L-shaped pieces, so you'll also need to think about all the places you can put them while still leaving room for all the other branching paths that are going to be necessary.
If you made it to this level without needing help, I'm confident you can get this one too. There's a solution in one of the videos below but I don't think you need it, if you feel like giving up then maybe come back later and give it a fresh try.
Are the buttons around the C-side hiding any extra secrets? They feel puzzle-y. I tried clicking them in chronological order, but some of them show up in game at the same time.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, I can't believe this is free. Very well done puzzles. I felt stumped but also like a genius when I solved them. Story is so charming and the art is really well done. I love all the little flourishes in animation and the secrets are just a lovely bonus.
Really cool game, I loved the visuals and the puzzles progression and new mechanics felt really clever. Also, I found the story really cute and, for me, it hit closed to home. My grandfather was a train driver, and he talked a lot about how much he loved his job, and in a way, even now when he's gone, I feel reconnected to him whenever there's a dedication and care for trains. So thank u so much for this game.
(This is a playthrough (or painthrough) and review of only about the new update, and my final thoughts as well about it. Also I have commentary, and enjoy me saying I'm stumped a lot. For the first/initial release, well a lot of scrolling is needed.)
The new update is very amazing to wrap up everything. The new and last level sets are probably one of the brutal ones I've played, moreso than the previous ones. Really made me thought for hours and thinking a lot, what am I missing. Nevertheless, I conquered it with satisfaction and still had fun (despite the commentary might not look like it). The last new cutscenes also wraps things up well, and see more personality of Raide, and as well the grandfather's story. It is very well done with love and care. Overall, this is a very amazing game! I could think this is now a 9/10 or 10/10 at this point. The amount of railway puzzles to conquer are very fun and satisfactory and as well very cute and cool cutscenes of Raide and their grandfather that adds more to the charm of the game. So yeah, keep up the amazing work as always.
I've been playing your games for a while, and I have to say you really delivered here.
Most of all, the presentation is super great, the animation is fun and the sound design super satisfying, especially when it comes to the interactible elements. Spécial mention to the bells which hit just right. When you realize you are taking the wrong approach and have to rethink it, the bell is perfect for giving you a little distraction to reset your thoughts, and it manage to both be relaxing and hit a bit of dopamine, perfect stimming. I kind of found myself wishing it was always available.
The menus are super neat, and hiding a puzzle in them for unlocking the bonus levels made for perfect immersive interaction, both visually interesting and good at making you feel clever.
My only gripe would be that i didn't like having the choices in where the rails connect when ther multiple already placed be timing based. Made it feel clunky as I ended up having trouble connecting my rails correctly a few times.
Also I didn't interact much with rush hour but that's more on me being the slow thinker kind, so just not my own jam. But I see the appeal.
And finally, SPOILER there (just in case):
The final letter really hits the spot, it's an excellent use of silence for capitalizing on the emotion.
Great game. Though, I'm not sure if it's just my way of solving these problems, but the grand finale, and several other levels were easily trivialized. I won't tell you how because you should beat the game for yourself, but still, the B-side levels took, like, 15 min. And it's not like I'm some genius. Anyways, good game and I'd love to see more.

Excellent game with vibes equally creepy and cozy.
I'm going to come back to the locks but I played the Rush Hour and it was all fun.

thank ya for showing this!
should be fixed now ✿
No prob - breaking stuff is what I do 🤣 Especially fun to see what happens when the game tries to handle something I've broken.
Can confirm it's fixed now as well :)
banger game!
Oh snap - you even have error checking in there to make sure that all track pieces that can be used are actualaly used properly. I thought I had one over on you here 😂
I'm stuck on that level. HELP!
I can't remember how I solved it now, sorry :\
you're on the right track, but i solved it and ill give you a hint: both connectors need to be facing upwards
The screenshot is very close.
Just make the blue and light green pieces horizontal.
how to rotate
right-click
right click
Simple beautifull chill smack

This was awesome! It definitely got tricky near the end. Great work :D
brava good job
fun puzzle game and cute art style! played it during class after my midterms and loved it!

does anyone know where the key to the suitcase is?
Take a look in the menus, you might need to make some progress first though.
i found it, thanks!
