Not sure who went out of their way to downvote almost all the comments, but this was my highest score on endless! (I don't think I'm going to get any higher than that lol).
Again, I already said the most of the good things to say about this game, and I still enjoyed it till the end. Tho it has something existed already in other games, the color palette, I wish you get more colors like 2/3 per completed bar instead of just one, but again,it’s more of a minor issue/nitpick so, uh yeah. Again, very amazing game, 10/10 will use more dead ends and mysteries.
(The part I talked about "100%" of Dice of Dusk starts at 42:23)
I want to follow up on this one, and I did finished the game.... well unfortunately with black magic (editing the save file.) I’m sorry, Kultisti. I guess more power for those who finished the game/grinded for the remaining colors, and you have my mad respect of dedication. Still, since unfortunately it has one finally mystery on it, I think that’s where it still boils down my issue of the game. The game is still fun till the very final puzzle, but it unfortunately becomes a slogfest when you try to grind for the colors. And it doesn’t help, you don’t carry any excess exp, should you level up. Nope the excess is gone, and you’re starting back to 0 for the next level. Again, I could excuse if you unlock 2/3 colors at a time per single level up, making it like only requiring you to grind 9/6 levels as I said before. The grind games of the 100% colors really just loses the mystery of the final thing you can unlock, and just for the most part ends up not being worth it. Regardless of all that, it’s still a fun game. I still will unfortunately think Raide will still be the best of pulling of mysteries at times imo, but I still enjoyed the one final content you can get for 100%, it’s just amount of juice you need to squeeze for it is the issue.
Another wonderful game from you Kultisti, I loved it! ❤️
It feels really professional, the puzzles are slick, and I love how generous you were on animating every detail of the game.
I haven't finished it yet, but I have a few questions:
how many chapters has the game?
I started the game playing online, but I'd love to finish it offline in the train I take every day: is it possible to resume progression of a game started in a browser on the Windows version? I'm probably the only player ever to need this, so I don't really expect this to be possible... 😅🤞
Absolutely love this game! The Inscryption inspiration is palpable in this one, without feeling like it's riding on that game's coattails. Very much its own thing, and yet it scratches the same itch.
Spoilers, rot13: Zl orfg fpber va Raqyrff Zbqr jnf 24...gung'f gur shegurfg V tbg juvyr svavfuvat bhg gur naivy erpvcrf, juvpu jnf nf zhpu tevaqvat nf V pnerq gb qb. Jung'f gur uvturfg lbh nyy unir tbggra?
I don’t see this listed in the tags or description, so I am going to put it in a comment, but levels become timed challenges after the tutorial section.
The time was quite generous at first and I never really struggled, but I prefer casual, no pressure puzzles, so I put this one down before I progressed much because I could tell it wasn’t going to be my cup of tea. I didn’t touch endless mode in Raide, for instance. If timed challenges are a dealbreaker for you like they are for me, this might not be your game.
was absolutely blown away when the roguelike part was introduced, might be my favorite work of yours yet
so much love packed in to everything! gameplay was so engaging that i spent hours just doing runs for fun. the concept and story is just really really cute, seeing the final few cutscenes made me feel a lot
your games have such a unique flair... i love how many small things are clickable. it always feels like there's some kind of secret left, as always in your games.
found a bug, after wrenching the first painting, I read it again to see if there was new lore, but after speeding through the old text it finished and now its stuck on a black screen.
this is in the web version btw, scrolling down then up seems to make it flash grey for a second, but that might just be how gamemaker works.
i only played a few levels until when you get the split dice. I love this game! I am at work atm and I can't wait to get home and play some more! I saw a comment about having too many levels and whatnot. Like... I personally hope I get home and get to discover it has like 200 more puzzles. lol. Love it! Keep it up!
i think i got softlocked? after i start the game (i've unlocked the dice collector previously and played until the split dice thing) i can't click on anything except "leave" and "settings", both of which aren't actually visible on the screen
Another great puzzle game from Kultisti, this time with a roguelike twist! I usually don't play roguelikes, but I've been loving the games from this creator recently, so I had to try.
Man I had a blast playing this game so far, very fun and pressuring. The good thing of this game is being able to select what playstyle/preferred puzzles to solve, making the game heavily replayable on those sections. As always, love the pixel charm of your games, and the ominous, but soothing and serene atmosphere as well.
so glad we have another Kultisti puzzle game, these make me so so happy!!! I actually cheered once the room lit up, because I love the hub rooms in your games.
Excellent game!
One thing I’d like to suggest to consider trying to implement is that any dice that Generosity acts upon has its original dice# displayed somewhere on it. For example, if a 3-dice has a Generosity acting on it, therefore making it a 1-dice, it would have something on it indicating it was originally a 3-dice.
Overall, another fantastic puzzle game, Kultisti!
Edit: Also, I’m not sure if this is an intentional mechanic or not, but when a Generosity is acting on a dice and makes it an Eye, any nearby Eye dice in contact with that new-Eye get unhappy.
Perhaps, but an original-Eye touching an original-Eye is fine. If there was a distinction between an original-Eye and a number-to-Eye, I wish it were visually distinguished.
WOW, what a cool game... nice concept, good slightly rising level of difficuklty, cute storyelements ... I LOVE IT, but failed at the after mid levels of the 1st section with timelimit....

Fun!
Minor typo in chapter one: is vs are (“dice” is plural), “there is some dice” should be “there are some dice”.
Love the game, I'm excited to see how far I can go with endless mode :)
edit: 100%'d the game!

So, I really like this game so far. Music, vibes, graphics, humor, all great. .but theres just one issue.
Why are they dice if we never actually roll them?
Awesome game! Thanks for sharing it!
I really love this game! I play this all day
This is amazing.
How did you make the music?
(also has no commentary.)

thank you <3
so glad i've come across dice of dusk today. raide was one of the best experiences. looking forward to playing through this one. cheers!
This is a really really cool concept!
also i only just now realized you can rotate kultisti at the beginning by clicking them lol
chat how is this a roguelike
edit: i see now
Hey Kultisti! I sent you an email recently and just wanted to follow up here in case it didn’t reach you or ended up in spam 🙂 No rush at all!
Great concept and execution. Are you planning a port to mobile devices?
Quite challenging, took me a while to beat it !

also great game
thank ya for finding this!
it should be fixed now ✿

I'M SO EXCITED
This was really cool! Thanks for making it!
how to draw a wall?
you don't draw them, they are on the dice (looks like a brown shadow on one side)
I will say, I think that the wall indicator is too subtle/not high-contrast enough, but otherwise, great game!
I NEED you to add d20's to this game MY LIFE WOULD BE YOURS
i think i got softlocked? after i start the game (i've unlocked the dice collector previously and played until the split dice thing) i can't click on anything except "leave" and "settings", both of which aren't actually visible on the screen

does it work now?
it does! thanks :)

I think one thing I could suggest, but probably would take time is make the link color for the two sided dices/smithed dices different.
Really clever and beautifully executed!
its so lovely <3

Just finished all the chapters and got the true ending. Simply beautiful game and thematic message. Very lovely!
P.S. I’ve been trying to figure what örmelö means, any help?
örmelö, from what I found, is Finnish slang for a strange looking creature. Could be wrong but it would make sense
Isn't the eye supposed to be unhappy when any number is in contact with it? I think the die just gets reduced to 0.
Perhaps, but an original-Eye touching an original-Eye is fine. If there was a distinction between an original-Eye and a number-to-Eye, I wish it were visually distinguished.

i was not expecting a new game to drop out of nowhere what!?
Very interesting game concept...might just give it a go!
A new game after Raide? HELL yes! Expectations are high but I’ve no doubt you’ll meet them!
Love your games
